How can we relate this with VBL?In some other contexts, we have seen some leaders who have failed to live to the expected values due to some personal potentials
In 21st century has been the revolutionary century that profoundly affected the universe in all aspects of leadership in general. Political aspects have taken a big change to affect this century and experience extensive,evasive and disheartening ethical leadership failures in both public and private sectors because most of the leaders we expected to rely on their values didn’t care much about the leadership values they should account for, instead they focus on fighting for their noble status. This has been happening and still happening as we are experiencing examples of leaders who can’t abide with morals and authenticity in their principles of leadership but they can make decisions depending on their potentials which lastly cost us at any expenses. For example We are experiencing the introduction of unnecessary taxes that have no validity but leaders can’t be responsible for what they are doing, this affects not only to public sectors but also to private sectors.
Ethical values are sets of principles a leader has, which guides his/ her behavior and of those he/ she works with. These help a leader to decide what is acceptable and what is not acceptable in a work place, and what actions are to be taken when behaviors are not in line with those values. As outlined by De Hoogh and Dem Hartog in Ethical and Despotic Leadership (p 297), promotion of ethical leadership in organization is thought to be uniquely important because of the impact leaders may have on others in the organization. In 21st century we have experienced incidents of ethical leadership failure in both public and private sectors, and this includes political, finance and business institutions.
Lacking values based leaders has caused this failure in ethical leadership. Having leaders who are not self-serving, exploiting their subordinates, and lacking ethical values has caused both public and private sectors to experience failure as leaders are driven by profits and care little for the growth of an organization.Hallow @Aleck, @Khadija and @Glory. Any way regarding the subject matter from Khadija, I would offer the following advice.
1. Make personal assesment if you are in position to rescure the company interms of being trusted and have capabilities to offer advice. If they dont trust you, they will not trust your advice. If they trust you then they are likely to listen to your advice.
2. If they trust you then preparare a paper and talking poings, write them down citing evendence and data of past, present and future as you see it. Explain the causes as you see them and propose solutions as you see them.
3. There are two ways to move forward afer step two. You can present your paper your self to top manager who trusts in you or you can get some body (allie) ho you think is being listened to and ask him or her to send the message on your behalf.
4. Be ready for any outcome being positive or negative. If negative and you are convinced you have a point, revice your paper to improve and strengh your paper on areas they were not convinced (I call this persistence). One motivator lLESS BROWN. Says “ Failure means moving from failure to failure without loosing enthusiasm”. If you are determined to win the battle, dont quit until you have done enough.

Adding on the main question,
High Impact Leadership is about changing a leader first so other may be influenced later by the leader. Purpose based Leadership helps through the following
1. Help in setting goals and differentiate them with the purpose as goals exist to serve a leader’s purpose while purpose is the reason we exist.
2. Clarity helps a leader to draw things which are needed in life and help connect with like-minded people who will help amplify a leaders potential.
3. By having a purpose a leader can focus on things that matters the most in accomplishing his/her goal and avoid distractions and overcome challenges along the process.
4. A clear purpose helps to identify a leader’s passion and this increases the drive to achieve his/her goals.
5. Living and acting with integrity is a product of having a clear personal purpose. Clear purpose makes it easier to live according to the core values you have set as a leader.@Gloria what i believe a leader cannot set his/her purpose against the company he/she works for, but can align his/her purpose towards the direction of the company.
Having a clear personal purpose helps a high impact leader to achieve his/her goal you wish to achieve. Purpose is the driving force behind leader’s actions and it guides towards the goals that he/she has set. The purpose gives a leader clarity and help him/her to focus on the goal by helping him/her avoid distractions which might slow him/her down. Clear purpose also help a leader to connect with like-minded people and amplify his/her potential. Clear purpose reflects a leader’s value which helps him/her to know if he/she is in a right path.
Purpose based leadership is important in High Impact Leadership because it helps leaders understand their leadership purpose. Through this leaders can be motivated and hence influence others.
It is also used by High Impact Leaders to help colleagues to discover their purpose. Having influence other to discover their purpose will lead to them aligning their personal purpose to that of the company.@ Aleck your right and I agree with you.

Every leader have a value but opinion are going different of what we think in my side every one who are contribute in organization it’s need good result of what I done for doing these it need help for Everyone to perform well example in my organization it need skills and knowledge to perform and help other first are good communication to customer,decion, action, teamwork , cooperation, to fulfill the goal it depends on what we cooperate and hard work to get a good result for the future of company.as a leader it needs more time to think about vision,mission, and Future of company it need support to people to fulfill these process for get different Ideas from different person who can drive my organization to expand everywhere and people knowing about it.
Dear@Aleck If you don’t know where you are going any road can take you there this quote is speak about the importance of having a goals, vision or purpose it’s relate to purpose based leadership because purpose based leadership is more concerned on why you do , whatever you do , purpose is the reason behind your action.so that if you don’t have a purpose of your life anything can take you there.There for in the journey of life you have to have a purpose of where you are going.
