@aleck Mistakes can be made by anyone. In what we have learned so far leadership means self realization of ones ability to influence other. So a leader can be trusted to lead after a failure but the impact of his/ her failure may prevent him/ her to administrate a public or private office. The main reason for that maybe be due to legal process resulting from failure while in the office, but as a high impact leader, he/ she can influence other people to change or accomplish things after he/ she has been removed from the office. For example a student may fail as school prefect but can lead other students to accomplish academical tasks such as school group projects.
